High in the Himalayas, over centuries, layers of plant matter slowly compress under extreme pressure and temperature to form a mineral-rich resin that seeps out of rock crevices in the summer months. This is Shilajit — one of Ayurveda's most revered substances, sometimes called the "conqueror of mountains and destroyer of weakness" in classical texts.

What Makes Shilajit Special?

Authentic Shilajit is rich in fulvic acid and over 80 trace minerals. In Ayurveda, it's classified as a Rasayana — a rejuvenating substance traditionally used to support the body's natural strength, stamina and resilience.

Traditional Benefits of Shilajit

  • Strength & Stamina: Traditionally used by those looking to support physical endurance and energy levels.
  • Vitality: A classical Rasayana associated with supporting overall vigour and vitality in both men and women.
  • Focus & Alertness: Used traditionally to support mental clarity and reduce feelings of fatigue.
  • Recovery: Often taken by those with physically demanding routines to support post-exertion recovery.
  • Healthy Aging: As a Rasayana, it's associated with supporting the body's natural resilience as we age.

Not All Shilajit Is the Same

Raw Shilajit collected directly from rocks contains impurities and needs to be purified through a traditional process (Shodhana) before it's safe to consume. Always choose Shilajit that is lab-tested for heavy metals and purified using authentic methods — never raw, unprocessed resin from unverified sources.

How Satvik Ayurveda Shilajeet Is Different

Satvik Ayurveda Shilajeet is sourced from high-altitude Himalayan regions and purified for safe, daily use. For those looking for an extra edge, Shilajeet Gold combines purified Shilajit with complementary herbs for a more concentrated energy formula.

How to Use Shilajit

A pea-sized portion (roughly 300–500mg) is traditionally dissolved in warm milk or water and taken once or twice daily, preferably in the morning. As with any Rasayana, consistency over weeks — not days — is what brings noticeable results.
